Scantek, Inc. Cal Lab Now Calibrates Tapping Machines

To be in calibration, a tapping machine must meet ISO 140 -6 and ISO 140-7. The requirements include:

• curvature of hammer head
• fall height of hammers
• fall height reserve of hammers
• fall angle of hammers
• impact velocity of hammers
• time between successive impacts
• mean-time between impacts
• time between impact and lift

The Scantek, Inc. calibration laboratory has procedures and instrumentation to measure all of these, especially the dynamic tests.
